Known as the Riviera of the South China Sea, Nha Trang has become such a hit with tourists due to a six-km stretch of beautiful coastline along with white smooth sandy beaches, crystal blue water, romantic scenes as well as various amazing water sports. Visitors coming here will have a chance to enjoy their real relaxing moments for days without any complaint.

If you are an adventure-lover, natural hot springs, salt fields, marvelous waterfalls and a wide range of water sports will satisfy you. And also paying a visit to the coastal fishing village is not a bad idea to get closer to the local life.

The best time to travel Vietnam in general and Nha Trang in particular

If you ask me when is the best time to visit Vietnam, there is no exact answer as its weather varies differently from region to region.

Apart from Northern Vietnam, Nha Trang possesses the dry and rainy seasons. Thanks to the comfortable weather, visitors can arrive in this tourism city all year round. The sunlight and hot weather in summer are suitable for joining ecotourism, ocean tourism or playing water sports; while the other months are ideal to get a deeper understanding of culture by visiting Ponagar Temple Tower, Bao Dai Villa, Vinpearl or The Nha Trang Aquarium.

However, the best time to visit Nha Trang should be from February to April, when the temperature is moderate at around 26 to 27 degree Celsius. This warm water makes spring months in Nha Trang the best time to dive in Nha Trang’s beaches to admire brilliantly-colored coral reef. Small Hill, South Reef, and Moray Beach After, all around Mun Island are must-dive attractions. Do not miss them!

If you spend your family tour in Nha Trang from July or August, it had better choose Hòn Bà (30km far from city center) as the first position on your tourist attraction list where you can feel the cool climate all year round to hide from the summer heat.

Despite the favorable weather, traveling in Nha Trang during autumn is not a good idea as it is not cold, but sometimes heavy rain, tropical storm, and typhoon can suddenly annoy tourists. Therefore, if you plan to visit it from September till December, please keep your eyes on the local weather forecast to have the most comfortable trip.

What to see in Nha Trang?

If you are looking for a beach to spend on your holiday, it is such a big pity if you miss Nha Trang beach – the beach heaven endowed with long coastal, white smooth sand and crystal blue water, which gives tourists amazing and relaxing feeling at the first sight.

One of the most magnificent beaches is Doc Let with a lot of palm trees and fishing boats offshore as well as the image of white salt mountains and locals carrying heavy baskets across the fields. Actually, Doc Let beach seems to be primitive and squeaking underfoot as you walk in soft sand will be a perfect escape.

Other must-see beaches are Van Phong Bay listed as one of the most beautiful bays in the world surrounded by marvelous mountains; pristine Ninh Van Bay with continuously natural changing-color; Hon Tre – one of the most breathtaking beaches in Vietnam for ecotourism; Hon Mieu; Hon Tam – top 29 most beautiful bays in the world, Mot island for emerald green water with rare coral and seafood; and Mun island, Dai Lanh beach or Hon Chong Promontory.

Vinpearl Land

Vinpearl Land

Located on one of the world’s most famous bays, the main attraction of Nha Trang is Vinpearl Land, the pearl of the ocean queen’s crown, offering a marvelous scene and excellent services. And do not miss Vinpearl at night from above! For kids, the main attraction will be Vinpearl island theme park, reached either by boat or cable car.

Actually, Vinpearl Land is an independently integrated amusement park adjacent to Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang by Vingroup. It is equipped with cutting-edge and unique facilities like the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car system; Vinpearl Water Park with hundreds of adventurous games and extreme indoor and outdoor games; Musical Fountain Stage and Amphitheatre with over 5,000 seats; Event Hall of 1,500 seats;  Vinpearl Under Water World sheltering more than 600 sea lives as well as a 90-meter underwater tunnel that enables us to admire the marine life amazingly, a luxurious shopping mall and many more.  I bet that when arriving in this heaven island, we just say “wow”.

Another ideal destination for taking photos is Po Nagar Cham towers, which represent the Cham ethic, are older than 1200 years. Nevertheless, the four towers nowadays remain its intact beauty (except for the Golden Dome robbed by pirates). They are unique, mysterious and charming.

Each tower is used to worship a god. The largest tower containing a linga and a statue dedicated to Po Nagar was to honor the Goddess. The central tower was to worship Cri Cambhu who blesses devotees with fertility. The Northwest tower was in honor of Sanhaka, a woodcutter and foster father to Po Nagar. The Southern tower was dedicated to Ganeca, Po Nagar’s daughter.
